Ilmor Thermostat GDI KIT KT7759 is the ilmor thermostat for GDI engines. The thermostat controls the flow of coolant to certain parts of the engine once the thermostat reaching operating temperatures. A bad thermostat could over heat the engine, or cause it to stay open and over cool the system.
